Hehe, another beat producer...

And I just got into making beats too. Imma check out your stuff, see what u got. If you would do me a favor, could you check out the beat preview I posted today, tell me what you think? It would be great to hear the opinion of someone who has experience with beats.

And to comment on your track, it's perfect for a rap song. I can imagine myself killin it to this track. And it's a classic style too, ssampling old songs n stuff. Brings me back....

Sirhc7000 responds:

Fasho thx for the review. I'm gonna review that rap beat u havce on ur profile in a sec. peace.

All around good

With the exception of one or two notes. That's the only reason you didn't get a perfect ten. but you still got a five out of five, so it's all good, right?

Slicing-Claws responds:

Yea, thanks.

Good shit, good shit

Hey, I may end up sending you a beat since I'm now moving into different beats for different genres and since Hiphop is still my favorite genre to listen to, I've started on a rap beat already. I want to see what you can do with it.

Emdee-NF responds:

hey man definitly man! ill give you my email in pm.

Hate to say it....

But I really don't like this song. At all.

Btw, check out my songs. Every single one of them was made with the FL Studio 8 Demo. You just have to know how to work it. I left my comp running for days just to finish a project sometimes. I've made upwards of 40 songs with that demo, each one getting better than the next. And I also made my classical masterpiece, Sabin's Story, using that demo version. The only thing I wish I could save was the key sequences in the piano roll. Other than that, I don't need to save anything since I have Edison. Edison is your best friend; You can record the parts of the song that you have at the moment and save them for later. In fact, you can record a drum sequence if you don't want to lose the drum sequence and come back to that later too. There's a lot you can do with the demo version of FL Studio.

ufmshamrock responds:

Thank you the advice, but i have have the full version now... and i know, i have to take more time on my songs.. yes, i know i have to learn to use FL.. my songs will get better... but for some reason i like the way one turned out... even if other people don't agree :D... Thank you for the review though

Do you want to know why you got a zero?

because every part of this song is a pre-made loop. The only originality displayed by this song is the organization of the loops. It would have been better if you had chopped the loops for the individiual string instruments and used those instruments and the piano roll to make your own song. You didn't even change the tuning, slow it down, nothing! This is effectively stealing someone else's work!

Go home, rethink your actions, and come back again with something truly original.

It doesn't really remind me of that.

I can remember FF7's boss battle themes and this doesn't remind me of any of them. This reminds me more of one of those online psuedo-japanese games, like maybe a stage on one of those or something. The problem is that it's too techno while the FF7 normal boss theme is more rocknroll. The Jenova theme is a little closer to this song than the normal boss theme but not close really. This song is mostly drum&bass though.

I gotta give this a lower rating because....

First of all, the beginning consists of a preset on FL Studio of an arpeggiator that's supposed to teach you how to use the arpeggiator.

dj-rodster responds:

yeh jus wanted to add more stuff to it
no harm in that :)

Not bad at all.

Creative, smooth, an all around good piece.

foreigndevil responds:

thanks for the review, man.
it means a lot ^^

I don't like it.

it's way too short and it doesn't loop even half good. I can't think of a use for this song. You can't even dance to this because of the cutoff half through, which is amazing when you consider it is 12 seconds long. Suggestions: make it longer, make it loop better, just do more with this damn thing!

dj-rodster responds:

lmao yah ma bad didnt fully download properly im uploadin it right now

Weird and Good

This is why I go onto Newgrounds, so I can be exposed to all kinds of music. This song sounds nothing like anything I've ever heard, and yet it sound like some things that normally would be unrelated. Techno and Metal just fused together in this song and it sounds great! (which is funny because I hate both personally.) Good luck with your comp.

If you ever wanted to make high-quality music with low quality inexpensive shit, I'm the man to ask ;-)
