[Song of time test- DJS]

Can't knock a person for wanting to test somethin.

That's a damn good instrument. But I may not be the best person to rate that because for one, I absolutely suck at synth. That's why I work with samples.

I'm slowly running into more hiphop producers...

And I'm liking what I hear from them. That includes you. This beat is hot, with the exception of only a few of the voice samples that just sound plain silly. Whatever that one voice is that keeps saying "Yeah", don't ever use that again. Other than that, top notch work. A shame that some assholes decided to zer0-bomb u.

Now imma do what I always do and ask you to review one of my songs. I have a beat too, it's called Run Shit Down. It's probably the best song I've ever made. Check it out and review.

Sure this is hiphop?

I applaud the fact that you made this faster than it takes me to configure 2 samples, but this is more pop than hiphop. I honestly can't see myself rapping to this, or anyone else rapping to it. But I can picture some 16 year old white hooker (ahem brittany back in the day, ahem hannah montana, ahem) trying (emphasis on trying) to sing to it. That said, since you're in the business of making beats, it's only right to ask you to check out my beat, Run Shit Down. That's my best one. You can check out my other one if you please, but I really just want you to check out the first one.

HALF AN HOUR?????

Now I work fast, but never that fast! All the modulation necessary in this and you made it in HALF AN HOUR???? I can't even do that when working purely with samples! I've put out worse stuff over the length of a week! My fastest is 2 hours and that song was utter shit!

Back to the review. Your song is repetitive, which lowers the score a bit. But it's still good. Keep it up!

I'll be straight with you.

I don't like this song. I can't tell you what it is that bothers me about it, but I just don't like it. Maybe it's the way the piano was used. Maybe it's the style. And the instruments sound kinda dry. Also, it ended way too abruptly. I'm just trying to find things that you need to improve on. If anyone has a counter-review in favor of this song, please leave one. I'm trying my best not to sound like an asshole.

[The Wind Warrior]

I wonder what the song would have sounded like...

if you had added brass. It wouldn't be "wind warrior" anymore, but it would still be good. The only thing I don't like in this song is the drums. They're too high-pitched, in my opinion. I think that the drums should be bass-ier (is that even a word) so that the drums don't disturb the bassline. But everything else is good. peace!

Brass would defenitely add the battle feeling to it. And I realize I used the timpani wrong. I should have used it here and there, and not so loud.

I learned something with this song, though. It was the first song I made using more than one instrument.

it's amazing. It's really amazing. It's so good, I find it strange that you put ME as one of your favorite artists. It really should be the other way around, if you ask me. And I have no idea what a glockenspiel is. I'll look it up later.

Your song "Sabin's story" really shows a lot of talent, I'll keep track of your progress and I'll make sure to review it once I get some free time and my head cleared.

The glockenspiel is the instrument you hear at 0:37-0:40. It'd be better if you look it up, though. Amazing instrument for pretty much any kind of mood.

BTW, this song sounds better with headphones. That's how I composed it and I never realized the bass/cello was too loud until I listened to it on speakers.
I'm too lazy to edit, though.
